"You've helped us more than you know, Cath. We're both so grateful." His words were simple, yet touched me. It was the second time last week that I'd heard this sentiment. It was a handshake, but had the tender care and kindness of this man and his cat.

The man shaking my hand had been with TVA for years. His wife was a special Ed teacher, also retired. We'd just finished a session talking about passing along a legacy and how to do that with substantially less tax obligation. We'd shared concerns and tools to address home care in case they had health issues later in life. They'd wondered about all this stuff, heard things here and there, but never had the luxury of addressing their particular needs.
