Hearing your stories is the life of our work

Here’s a part of Russell’s story. Now it is time to hear yours.

This week, we had the honor of working with Russell, number 60 of over 700 volunteers over the years that guard the tomb of the unknown soldier. People ask me how I do the work I do, talking about our final time and how to plan for all that involves. In short, I adore helping people. I get to meet and serve people like Russell. I enjoy hearing their stories, about their families, and more. At times, I pull out the tissues as people tell me something that is heartbreaking to them. I am there for all of it. I adore being in your world and helping people.
