What the class covers
An hour of plain-English teaching at your local library, with no pressure and nothing to buy. Topics include:
How families avoid the most common, costly planning mistakes
Why it matters who's listed as beneficiary on your life insurance
What happens when nobody knows where the important papers are
Planning ahead for the cost of care later in life
How to start the conversation with your parents, or your kids
Estate planning attorney Mo Dadkhah joins Cath for the legal portion of the class. Spouses are encouraged to attend. Adults only. The class is free.
Questions people ask before they come
Is the class really free?
Yes. There's no cost to attend, and you're welcome to bring your spouse or an adult family member.
Who teaches it?
Cath Shaw Truelove, a licensed insurance agent in Chattanooga, teaches alongside estate planning attorney Mo Dadkhah, who covers the legal side.
Do I need to bring anything?
No documents needed. Many people bring a notepad.

Meet Cath
Cath Shaw Truelove started down this road as the executor for two family estates. Friends and family began asking for her help with their own planning, so she became licensed in life and health insurance. Today she helps families across the Chattanooga region plan for medical, final and care expenses, working alongside estate planning attorneys for the legal side. She lives in the heart of Chattanooga with her husband and their two dogs.
Free one-on-one consultations are held at Cath’s office on the 10th floor of the Tallan Financial Center: 200 W MLK Blvd., Suite 1000, Chattanooga, TN 37402. Call or text 423-521-5877.
Cath Shaw Truelove is a licensed insurance agent, not an attorney. Classes are educational and are not legal advice; legal topics are covered by an estate planning attorney.
